Herbert and his toughest ride, yet.

I’m going to remember this day for a very long time — in both body and mind! We start with another surprise and challenge from the team. I have to load my GS onto the deck of the Earnslaw, a 100 year-old steamboat. We arrive in Queenstown around 11 am and as this old ship takes us on a cruise of Lake Wakatipu I sit talking to the charismatic captain. Ian, the steam engineer, invites me to join him in the bowels of the vessel and lets me be coalman, loading the furnace with shovel after shovel of coal.
